Valentines day super cute nail design ideas

Soooo, what do you and your sweet pie have planned for Valentine’s Day this year? Whether it’s dinner at a favorite restaurant, a romantic dinner at home or your partner has a surprise up their sleeve (which is our personal favorite option!), we’re pretty sure that you want to look your best.

When it comes to getting ready for this kind of holiday, it’s all in the details. If you’ve got a few extra bucks, treat yourself to a mani-pedi. If not, no worries. We have some tips for how to make your nails picture perfect no matter what.

All you need is some nail polish, a few nail design tools, an awesome top coat (for when your nail designs are complete), a steady hand and a lot of patience. (So yeah, if you don’t paint your own nails much, you should probably do some experimenting around a week before.)

Come to think of it, you might want to call a girlfriend over so that you can do each other’s nails. But whether you decide to do your nails yourself or get a little help from a bestie, we’re confident that you’ll totally fall in love with the end results of our little tutorial.

Oh, and for the best results—make sure to apply a base coat first. Then apply two coats of color. Let your nails dry for a few minutes before drawing/writing on them, then let your nails dry five more minutes before applying a top coat. Finally, give your nails another 15-20 minutes in order to dry completely (preferably in front of a portable fan).

Basically, the amount of time that it takes to watch a 30-minute sitcom (maybe a 60-minute show if you’re doing your nails yourself) is what you’ll need in order to get the best results.

Ready?

Lolita:

Polish every nail but your ring fingers with nude polish. Then polish your ring fingers rose pink. Let your ring fingers dry for about 3-5 minutes. Then take your nail art pen and paint a small white heart towards the top of your ring finger.

Golden Touch:

Polish every nail nude. Let them dry for 3-5 minutes and then dip your brush into a bottle of gold polish and create a half-crescent moon where your cuticles are. You can do this on all of your nails, a few or just one.

Pure Love:

Polish all (or just one) of your nails white. Allow your nails to drive for 3-5 minutes and then use your nail art pen to write “love” on one side of your nail(s).

I Heart You:

Polish every nail but your ring fingers red. Polish your ring fingers white. Let the polish dry for 3-5 minutes. Then draw different designs on all of your red nails including hearts and the word “love”. The final step is to draw lots of little red hearts on your ring fingers.

Shine Babe:

Polish every nail but your ring fingers light pink. Then polish your ring fingers white. Let the polish dry for 3-5 minutes. Then draw a small white heart in the corner of your middle finger.

Red Lipstick:

Polish every nail nude. Let the polish dry for 3-5 minutes. Then take your nail art pen to create small red dots at the base of each of your nail’s cuticles.

How cute are all of these nails! Perfect for a little jewelry to go on…you never know (wink, wink).

Have an absolutely amazing Valentine’s Day. You deserve it!
