2 Green Beer Recipes!

1. Spirulina Method

What You’ll Need:

10 oz. of beer
⅛ tsp of Spirulina
11 oz. glass

What to do:

  1. Take your 11 oz. glass and fill it with your blonde beer.
  2. Next, add your Spirulina to the glass and stir until all of your Spirulina is blended through and your beer is the perfect shade of green.
  3. Lastly, serve and enjoy!

2. Food Coloring Method

What You’ll Need:

10 oz. of beer
1-2 drops of green food coloring
11 oz. glass

What To Do:

  1. First, take your 11 oz. glass and fill it with your blonde beer.
  2. Then, add your drops of green food coloring to the glass and stir until all of your green food coloring is blended through and your beer is the perfect shade of festive green.
  3. Finally, serve and enjoy!

Important Notes

While Matcha powder is a great alternative as well, we wouldn’t recommend using Matcha powder because the resulting color won’t be as vibrant as the two methods we tried.

Spirulina is a great source of protein and it’s a more natural approach to coloring your beer. However, the con with using the Spirulina method is it might smell a bit like seaweed, which can be off-putting. However, the taste remains pretty much intact.

While the food coloring method for your green beer leaves you with vibrant color. Something to consider is that it’s not the most natural/organic way to color your beer.
